Methodology
How Veritas turns Nansen data into a trust score.
1. Collect
Veritas pulls the top 200 holders of a token from Nansen's tgm/holders endpoint, plus Nansen's Smart Money and Exchange label groups. Exchanges and protocol contracts (pools, vaults, bridges) are recorded but excluded from ownership analysis.
2. Link wallets
For up to 120 of the largest remaining holders, Veritas queries profiler/address/related-wallets. Two holders are merged into one owner when they are directly related, or when they share a counterparty that is not an exchange or contract, such as the same First Funder or multisig. Merged groups are shown as clusters.
3. Score
Every token starts at 100. Bounded penalties are subtracted, and each one is listed as a finding.
| Factor | Measure | Max |
| Owner concentration | Share held by the top 10 owners after merging clusters | −30 |
| Hidden clusters | Share held by the largest cluster and by all clusters | −30 |
| Insider selling | Supply moved out by clustered wallets over 7 days | −15 |
| Smart Money | Absent, exiting, or accumulating (+5) over 30 days | −12 |
| Fresh-wallet demand | New wallets out-buying proven traders (tgm/flow-intelligence) | −5 |
Grades: Strong 80+, Fair 60–79, Caution 40–59, High risk below 40.
Limits
Only the top holders are analysed. A shared funder is strong evidence of common control, not proof, so Veritas always shows the linking relation. Scores are heuristics for research, not financial advice.
